Bluevua Wins Three BASA Awards for Countertop Water Filters
Bluevua, maker of countertop reverse osmosis systems, wins three 2026 BASA Awards for technology, product innovation and business growth.

Bluevua, a leader in countertop reverse osmosis (RO) systems designed to filter forever chemicals and other contaminants, has won three awards at the 2026 Best of America Small Business Awards (BASA Awards). The honors recognize the company’s achievements in technology, product innovation, and business growth. Founded in 2021, the direct-to-consumer brand now has more than 500,000 of its systems in use worldwide. Its products take reverse osmosis beyond traditional under-sink setups, with countertop and travel-ready purifiers that require no permanent plumbing modifications or professional installation.
Three Wins at the BASA Awards
The BASA Awards celebrate excellence among small businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, recognizing outstanding achievements across more than 150 categories. Bluevua received honors in three of them: Best in Tech: Technology of the Year; Best Startup: Ecommerce & Online Services; and Best Campaigns: Disruptor Product & Campaign of the Year.
What the ROPOT Systems Do
At the heart of the lineup is Bluevua’s patented ROPOT technology, which combines multi-stage reverse osmosis filtration with user-friendly features meant to make advanced water purification more accessible. The countertop systems, including the ROPOT(UV) and ROPOT-Lite(UV), offer high-borosilicate glass carafes, real-time total dissolved solids (TDS) monitoring, self-cleaning functionality, and automatic filter-life tracking. Select models also feature UV treatment and remineralization.
The systems reduce a broad range of contaminants, including lead, fluoride, chlorine, microplastics, and forever chemicals (PFAS). A glass-forward design helps minimize purified water’s contact with plastic, and the signature ROPOT systems achieve a 3:1 filtered-to-waste water ratio. Real-time TDS monitoring provides consumers with visible information about their water, while automatic filter life tracking and self-cleaning functionality simplify everyday maintenance.
Built for Renters and Travelers
Because the purifiers need no plumbing work, they suit renters, travelers, smaller households, and anyone wanting more flexibility in how they get purified water. Removing the installation barrier also gives buyers a practical alternative to the ongoing purchase and transportation of bottled water.
The travel model has drawn praise of its own. In 2026, the International Housewares Association named the ROPOT Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier for Travel a Global Honoree for Excellence in Product Design. After purchase, Bluevua provides access to replacement filters, accessories, warranty registration, and ongoing product assistance.
A Growing Consumer Brand
Founded in 2021, Bluevua has grown from a startup into a widely adopted direct-to-consumer water filtration company, combining advanced purification technology with a customer-focused digital experience. The three BASA Awards recognize its continued efforts to advance water purification technology, introduce new products, and build a consumer brand.
“Receiving recognition across three categories is an exciting milestone for Bluevua. From the beginning, our focus has been on making advanced water purification more accessible through thoughtful technology and design. These awards reflect the dedication of our teams across the company and the progress we’ve made in bringing that vision to life.”
