National Lampoon Sets Comedy Slate for 2026 and 2027
National Lampoon comedy slate includes films, live events, a comedy channel and a comedian revenue platform with Rip Micheals and 5120 Entertainment.

National Lampoon is expanding its comedy lineup with Rip Micheals Entertainment and Eugene Parker’s 5120 Entertainment. The partnership covers arena events, films, original series, a comedy channel and a revenue platform for comedians. National Lampoon Presents launches December 2, 2026, followed by Rip Micheals’ In the Crowd Work on November 26 and a Barclays Center event on December 17. A tour is slated to launch in late spring 2027.
Live Comedy Plans
Rip Micheals, creator and producer of the Wild ‘N Out Live! tour, brings live-event experience to the partnership. Across four tours, Wild ‘N Out reached more than 1.5 million fans in over 100 cities and set a Pollstar record for staging two shows in two different markets on the same night.
Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host an event on December 17, 2026, bringing together performers associated with National Lampoon and acts from Micheals’ arena tours. Participating performers and further event details are due to be announced separately.
“Comedians need a home where they can put their material out, reach audiences, and earn from their work. We took Wild 'N Out from the screen to sold-out arenas.”
Films And Comedy Series
The planned early-2027 film slate includes National Lampoon’s Hollywood Hustle, starring Alec Baldwin and Nick Cannon. The lineup also includes new films from 5120 Entertainment, with additional movie content expected as early as January.
A comedy vertical series featuring Na’im Lynn and guest-starring Kevin Hart is slated for December 2026. The programming plan also includes Na’im Lynn’s My Stand-Up Series.
A Channel For Comedians
The partners plan to launch a comedy channel for comedy specials and comedian-led programming. Its companion revenue platform is designed to give comedians opportunities to earn ongoing residual income from comedy albums, while short sets, roast sessions, digital radio and podcasts are also planned.
“National Lampoon has always stood for bold, original comedy that pushes boundaries and brings people together. With this partnership, we're building on that legacy while creating new opportunities for comedians and introducing the brand to a new generation of audiences. Rip Micheals and 5120 Entertainment bring a strong track record in live entertainment and a shared vision for creating fresh, exciting comedy experiences. We're looking forward to what we can build together.”
Building On Comedy History
National Lampoon’s history spans publishing, film, stage and radio, including Radio Hour and the stage production Lemmings. The partnership pairs that history with Micheals’ touring work and 5120 Entertainment’s film and television production capabilities.
“At 5120 Entertainment, we're focused on building projects that connect talent with audiences. Our partnership with National Lampoon gives us the opportunity to bring an iconic comedy brand to new audiences and develop experiences across live events, and ultimately television, film, and digital projects. We're excited to build alongside National Lampoon and Rip Micheals Entertainment.”
