Rork has raised $15 million in Seed funding to expand its AI platform for building and launching mobile apps from plain-language prompts. The round was led by Left Lane Capital, with Peak XV, True Ventures, Goodwater, and existing investor a16z Speedrun participating. Rork builds iOS and Android apps using Swift, React Native, and Expo, with apps designed for submission to the App Store and Google Play. The company also acquired Paperline, a macOS app for building native Swift applications with AI, as it pushes further into Apple development.

Building Mobile Apps With AI

Rork launched its web product in February 2025 and its mobile app in September 2025. It says users can turn written prompts into functional mobile apps without writing code, aimed at entrepreneurs, designers, marketers, students, and creators who want to publish an app.

The company says it ranked in the top two worldwide in the App Store’s Developer Tools category and became the number one referring website to RevenueCat. Its founders, Daniel Dhawan and Levan Kvirkvelia, had each bootstrapped three startups before starting Rork.

Rork Max Targets Apple Platforms

Rork recently launched Rork Max, which it says is powered by Claude Code and Claude Opus 4.6. The product lets users build for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and iMessage in plain English, test apps on devices, and publish them to the App Store in two clicks.

Rork says the Rork Max announcement drew more than 8 million views on X and doubled its annual revenue within two weeks. The company describes the product as a web-based Swift app builder intended to replace Xcode for some development work.

“Not a lot of people realize the true power and speed of progress in AI yet. AI models move faster than anyone could imagine, wiping out entire products and industries as we speak. Rork is winning because of our early bet on AI becoming exponentially better at hard problems - and it's already happening with software engineering,”

Paperline Becomes First Acquisition

Following the Seed round, Rork acquired Paperline, a macOS app that builds native Swift applications with AI. Paperline was founded by senior iOS and full-stack engineers Evgenii Mozharovskii and Maksim Konstantinov.

The acquisition supports Rork’s move toward native Swift development and its plan to offer a web platform that can replace Xcode with AI.

A Route for App Entrepreneurs

Rork positions its product for people who want to turn an app idea into a live business without raising funding, hiring a large engineering team, or learning to code. One customer example is George Lampropoulos, an 18-year-old college freshman who built WrestleAI, an AI wrestling coach, with Rork in roughly a month and scaled it to more than $30,000 in monthly revenue.

“When everyone fears AI replacing their jobs, we believe it will lead to more consumers starting companies. Creating is better than reselling, and the next generation of entrepreneurship will thrive on the App Store — we're already seeing it with younger builders,”

Backing Further Mobile Development

Left Lane Capital’s investment gives Rork fresh capital to develop its mobile AI app-building platform and support its push into native Apple development. The service is designed for people who want to build and publish iOS and Android apps through written instructions.

“Mobile is the most valuable surface area on the planet. There is roughly $160B+ in annual consumer spend and five trillion hours of attention flowing through an expanding universe of apps. AI is collapsing the barriers to building software, and Rork is pushing that shift to the most complex and valuable layer of the stack. We're thrilled to partner with Daniel and Levan as they open the door for anyone with an idea to build for the mobile economy.”
