SwitchBot Launches AI MindClip at IFA 2026
SwitchBot AI MindClip is a clip-on AI assistant that records conversations, creates tasks, and starts at $119.99.

SwitchBot has launched AI MindClip at IFA 2026, a 16.8-gram clip-on AI assistant designed to turn recorded conversations into summaries, reminders, searchable memories, and next actions. Aimed at work, family, study, and everyday tasks, the wearable offers more than 20 hours of continuous recording, 64GB of local storage, and a 3-meter near-field pickup range. It will be available from September 3 at $119.99 in the US, CAD 159.99 in Canada, and GBP 119.99 in the UK. The device includes 300 free monthly minutes of transcription and AI service.
Capturing Spoken Notes
AI MindClip can be clipped to a collar, shirt, jacket, or bag strap. SwitchBot positions the device for recording ideas, requests, promises, and to-dos that arise during meetings, school pickup, commutes, and other daily moments.
The device supports speaker recognition, speaker separation, and voiceprint recognition to help users review multi-person conversations. Recordings can transfer automatically while the device is charging, or users can upload them after a conversation ends.
Turning Recordings Into Tasks
In its app and website, AI MindClip organizes recordings into transcripts, summaries, key points, structured notes, and AI-generated to-dos. Users can view material through Timeline, Priority, Daily Memory, Weekly Summary, and To-Do Overview sections, with task groups including Work, Personal, Interests, and Holidays.
The wearable can sync action items with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Reminders. Users who connect those calendars can also view AI MindClip to-dos on the SwitchBot E-Ink Home Dashboard.
Search And AI Workflows
Ask AI lets users search past conversations using natural-language questions rather than manually reviewing long audio recordings. Through SwitchBot OpenAPI CLI, the company says transcripts can also be used as contextual data sources for AI agents and workflow tools including Codex, OpenClaw, and Hermes Agent.
AI MindClip uses Qwen-Audio-ASR for audio transcription. Its Ask AI function uses Alibaba Cloud’s RAG architecture with ADBSQL as the retrieval database and a Qwen-based model for question-answering.
Privacy Controls And Pricing
Users can start, pause, or stop recording from the device or app, while a blinking light shows recording status. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, and to-dos can be reviewed, managed, and deleted in the app.
SwitchBot says AI MindClip has passed EN18031, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701 certifications. It also supports encrypted pairing and file transfer, end-to-end encryption, and in-app privacy and data management settings. The company encourages users to inform other people before recording, noting that local rules may differ by region.
Buyers can purchase the device through SwitchBot’s official website, where the company lists pricing for paid subscription services.
A Wearable Memory Assistant
For professionals, students, and households that want a lightweight way to retain spoken details, AI MindClip combines voice recording with task extraction, calendar syncing, and searchable conversation history. Its $119.99 US price includes a monthly allowance for transcription and AI features.
