Agthia Academy Completes First International Program
Agthia Academy completes its first international program, training Emirati entrepreneurs and food-science students in food production.

Agthia Group PJSC and Bühler Group have completed the first Agthia Academy training program, building technical and manufacturing skills for the United Arab Emirates food sector. The program concluded with a recognition ceremony attended by UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri and strategic partners. Participants trained in Abu Dhabi and Switzerland in milling, baking and food production. Agthia, one of the region’s leading food and beverage companies, developed the Academy with Swiss food-processing technology company Bühler.
Training Across Two Countries
The program combined classroom learning with hands-on work at Agthia’s facilities and Bühler’s training centers. It is designed for Emirati entrepreneurs and food-science students seeking practical experience in food manufacturing and production excellence.
“The resilience of the food sector starts with people and knowledge. Through Agthia Academy, we are committed to developing the capabilities needed to advance the UAE's food ecosystem and connecting Emirati talent with world-class expertise. This program translates that commitment into action, helping build the skills and expertise that will support the UAE's long-term food security ambitions.”
Partners Support Food Skills
The Academy is supported by the Department of Economic Development, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority. It is endorsed by Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University and Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches.
“Food manufacturing is becoming more sophisticated, and state-of-the-art technologies requires strong technical know-how. Through this partnership, we combine Agthia's market leadership with Bühler's global food-processing expertise. The Academy turns these strengths into practical training, giving participants direct exposure to the technologies, processes, and expertise required in modern food production.”
Practical Food Production Experience
Agthia Academy brings together international training in Switzerland with technical training in Abu Dhabi. The platform focuses on milling, baking and food production, connecting Emirati participants with Agthia’s facilities and Bühler’s food-processing expertise.
