CIEE Opens France Office for U.S. Internships
CIEE France office will offer paid U.S. internships and training through BridgeUSA programs starting at €2,200.

CIEE is opening a direct office in France to give French students and recent graduates access to paid internships and training in the United States. BridgeUSA programs start at €2,200 for a 12-month participant-sourced placement. Full placement and sponsorship options are also available. The nonprofit is working with French universities, Grandes Écoles, and Business France, with placements focused on business, hospitality, and engineering.
Internships and Training Options
CIEE offers paid U.S. internships lasting up to 12 months for full-time students. Recent graduates and young professionals can take paid, full-time training programs lasting up to 18 months.
The organization also works with Business France on V.I.E placements for French companies and their U.S. subsidiaries. CIEE handles health insurance, compliance, and 24/7 support, and describes itself as the U.S. Department of State’s largest and longest-standing J-1 sponsor.
Scholarship for First Cohort
CIEE will award one France-based BridgeUSA scholarship covering the full program fee for an Intern, Trainee, or V.I.E candidate. Eligibility details will be shared at V.I.E Connect on November 3, 2026, at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, where CIEE will formally introduce its France office.
“International experience transforms careers. By expanding BridgeUSA in France, we're giving more French young people the skills, confidence, and connections that last a lifetime.”
A Direct Route to U.S. Experience
The France office will provide a direct route to CIEE’s BridgeUSA programs for French students and recent graduates. The new office is intended to make U.S. professional experience more accessible for French participants.
