You’re Hired Job Fest connected 858 Dallas job seekers with 78 employers, resulting in 169 contingent offers and 15 on-the-spot hires.

The T.D. Jakes Foundation, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas brought 858 job seekers to the free You’re Hired Job Fest in Dallas on September 30. The event connected attendees with 78 employers and 94 participating organizations, resulting in 169 contingent offers and 15 on-the-spot hires. Held at Gilley’s Dallas, the program also offered career readiness support, training resources and practical workforce tools. Employers represented logistics, transportation, technology, manufacturing, government and health care.
Jobs And Career Resources
Participating employers included Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Parkland Health, FedEx, UPS, TEKsystems and the City of Dallas. Available roles included competitive wages, benefits and tuition assistance or reimbursement.
The event also focused on employment access for people with justice involvement. Sixteen companies identified more than 507 open positions for qualified candidates, while participants from the foundation’s T.O.R.I. program met with employers.

Partner Sessions Add Support
Goldman Sachs and JPMorganChase contributed sessions on career preparation, technology, workplace success and financial empowerment. Speakers included Maria Hazan-Cohen of JPMorganChase, plus Leke Osinubi and Ramanathan Narayanan of Goldman Sachs.
One Place For Job Seekers
The event combined employer introductions, career seminars, training providers and community organizations in one venue. It also gave job seekers access to jobs, information and support services.
