Emily Arthur Named Isla Porter CEO
Emily Arthur has been named Isla Porter CEO while remaining chief creative officer at the custom cabinetry company.

Isla Porter has appointed co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Emily Arthur as chief executive officer, effective August 18, 2026. Arthur will keep her chief creative officer role while taking responsibility for the company’s creative vision, product leadership, operations and business strategy. The female-founded custom cabinetry company, established in 2023, serves homeowners and design professionals across the continental United States. Its made-to-order cabinetry is designed in New York and New Jersey for kitchens, pantries, mudrooms, bathrooms, bars and offices.
A Founder Takes The Lead
Arthur brings nearly 20 years of experience in home product design and development to the chief executive role. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in industrial design and previously held product design and development leadership roles at home retail brands including West Elm, a subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma, Inc.
“In appointing Emily as Chief Executive Officer, we’re recognizing what she has built. She founded Isla Porter around a simple vision: that beautiful, highly customizable cabinetry should be available directly to homeowners and designers, without the traditional friction. The market response has proven her right, and her command of every side of this business — sales, design, manufacturing, and what customers actually want — makes her the obvious choice to lead it forward.”
Custom Cabinetry For Homes
Isla Porter was founded after Arthur identified an opportunity for a more product-focused and approachable custom cabinetry experience. The company offers a curated cabinetry collection and guided design process for homeowners and design professionals nationwide.
Its service combines design, craftsmanship, technology and personal guidance, with the aim of making planning and delivery simpler. The company’s products are made to order, so customers can use cabinetry across several rooms and home uses rather than only in kitchens.
Next Steps For The Business
As CEO, Arthur will focus on building the company’s foundation, supporting its team and design partners, expanding its product offering and improving the customer experience throughout the cabinetry process.
“I am incredibly excited to lead Isla Porter into this next chapter. We started Isla Porter because we believed cabinetry could be approached differently, with greater creativity, stronger design and a process that feels more supportive and inspiring.”
Emily Arthur, CEO and Chief Creative Officer at Isla Porter, continued:
“We have built something very special, and I am incredibly proud of the team, customers, designers and partners who have helped bring our vision to life. As CEO, my focus will be on strengthening the business we have built while continuing to push our products, service and customer experience forward. I believe deeply in what Isla Porter can become, and I am excited about the work ahead.”
