TBL Team Boxing League has signed Manny Pacquiao and Manny Pacquiao Promotions as owners of the San Diego TJ’s franchise. The agreement is a nine-figure commitment focused on long-term platform growth. Pacquiao enters the league as a franchise owner and stakeholder as TBL builds its city-based team boxing format. Manny Pacquiao Promotions will also support the league’s international expansion.

Pacquiao Takes Ownership Role

The San Diego TJ’s will become Pacquiao’s team, with plans to build its roster, competition, and culture for fans worldwide.

“I'm proud to be an owner of Manny Pacquiao's San Diego TJ's. This is my team, and I'm excited to build something special by bringing great fighters, strong competition, and a winning culture to fans around the world.”

A Team Based Boxing Format

TBL operates with 12 teams in major U.S. markets. Its events include male and female boxing across weight classes, using one-round contests and a tournament format that ends in Money Rounds, where overall team performance determines the winner.

The league’s model is designed around city franchises, seasonal competition, and championship contention, giving fighters, teams, and investors a structure for longer-term participation.

“This partnership represents exactly what Team Boxing League was built for. Bringing in a global icon like Manny Pacquiao as an owner validates our vision of transforming boxing into a true league model - one driven by structure, shared economics, and long-term opportunity for fighters, teams, and investors alike. This is how we start to scale the league globally.”

Global Expansion Plans

Manny Pacquiao Promotions will help TBL seek audiences and partnerships across sports, media, and entertainment. The partnership centers on ownership, participation, and long-term upside for fighters, teams, and partners.

“This isn't just Manny coming back to fight, this is Manny building an empire around boxing. This is a nine-figure platform play focused on ownership, participation, and long-term upside. We are shifting boxing from transactions to ownership and building a global ecosystem that will support fighters, teams, and partners for years to come.”
