Five Star Franchising has placed three of its home service franchise brands on Entrepreneur’s 2026 Top Low-Cost Franchises list. Card My Yard ranked No. 34 among franchise opportunities under $50,000, while Mosquito Shield ranked No. 37 and Gotcha Covered ranked No. 77 among franchises under $150,000. It is the second consecutive year all three brands have appeared on the list. The rankings give prospective owners a practical comparison point for lower-investment franchise options backed by Five Star’s platform.

Three Brands And Investment Levels

Card My Yard offers celebratory yard greetings and has more than 500 locally owned franchise locations across 46 states. The brand uses a proprietary technology platform and simplified operations to support customer ordering and local franchise businesses.

Mosquito Shield provides residential mosquito, tick and perimeter pest control, serving customers in more than 400 territories. Gotcha Covered sells custom window treatments, including blinds, draperies, shutters and smart home systems, and has more than 160 franchise locations across North America.

What The Rankings Measure

Entrepreneur refreshes its low-cost franchise rankings annually, assessing startup costs, growth potential, brand strength and overall value. Readers can view the publication’s Top Franchises Under $50k list separately from its under-$150,000 rankings.

“One of the strengths of our portfolio is the ability to offer franchise opportunities across a range of investment levels, including highly accessible entry points for new owners. These Entrepreneur rankings reinforce that accessibility doesn't come at the expense of quality — each of these brands delivers a compelling model backed by the strength and support of the Five Star platform.”

Support For Local Owners

Five Star Franchising operates more than 1,700 locations across North America. Its franchise owners have access to a support team, vendor network, in-house marketing services and ProNexis, a lead management support solution for home service brands.

For people considering a franchise, the three placements show the range of entry points available within one home services group: under $50,000 for Card My Yard, and under $150,000 for Mosquito Shield and Gotcha Covered.
