Women Future Makers Award Names Two Winners
Women Future Makers Award names Vanessa Barzasi of BIOBRIGHT and Bonney Magambo of HEMOFAB as winners, with funding and fellowship support.

HELENA RUBINSTEIN and EMPOW’HER have named Vanessa Barzasi of BIOBRIGHT in Great Britain and Bonney Magambo of HEMOFAB in France as winners of the latest Women Future Makers Award. The ceremony took place at Le Visionnaire on Rue Royale in Paris and recognized projects intended to benefit the environment and society. Both entrepreneurs will receive a financial endowment and a place in the Empow’Her Fellowship Program. The program offers personal development masterclasses and expert tutoring for founders seeking to scale their work.
Two Founder Led Projects
Barzasi’s BIOBRIGHT develops autonomous environmental monitoring systems for the maritime industry. Its technology tracks air and water quality in real time, with a focus on pollution-free ports and oceans.
Magambo received the “Coup de Cœur” recognition for HEMOFAB, a French MedTech startup. Its FAV Protector Sleeve is designed to improve the daily lives and health of patients with kidney failure receiving dialysis care.
Support Beyond The Prize
The award sits within the HELENA POWERS philanthropic initiative and is intended to support women turning professional ambitions into businesses. HELENA RUBINSTEIN said it provides bespoke business tutoring and confidence-boosting workshops for women entrepreneurs.
The event was moderated by Melody Madar, co-founder of Propulsio and Les Éclaireuses. Sandra Rey also shared her experience of closing her first company and launching Anima, a venture builder for nature-inspired science.
Event Sustainability Measures
HELENA RUBINSTEIN organized the event with what it described as a minimal environmental footprint. The ceremony used trophies made from recycled materials and worked with engaged local suppliers.
