Temu says its European seller survey found that 50% of 152 respondents increased capacity, hired staff or did both after joining the marketplace, while 34% expanded into new international markets. The platform surveyed sellers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and the UK during June and July 2026. Three quarters of respondents described Temu as an important additional sales channel or their primary sales channel. The findings form part of the Temu Small Business Insights Report 2026.

Sales Growth Creates New Roles

Temu has allowed local businesses in Europe to sell on its platform since 2024, and its Local Seller Programme is now available to businesses of all sizes in more than 35 markets. The company said it provides onboarding support, fulfillment tools and connections with local trade bodies and startup networks.

In Spain, family-owned spare-parts business Recamania opened its Temu store in March 2025 after struggling to build a successful online sales channel. The Albacete company later received 4,000 orders a month through the platform and expanded its warehouse and administrative teams.

“Temu has impacted the business very positively, without a doubt. It has meant significant growth for Recamania,”

Natalia Collado Castillo, 26, at Recamania

Leeds retailer Money Cruncher, which trades online as Spot On-Line, has fulfilled more than one million orders since joining Temu at the beginning of 2025. The business added more than 20 warehouse roles in the last 18 months in response to demand from its Temu sales channel.

From Early Orders to Full Time Work

French ube powder brand Ubedia launched on Temu in September 2025 and sold more than 1,400 packets through organic traffic within weeks. Its founders, Mathis Rouchouze and Charles Jeuffrain, were able to leave their day jobs to work on the business full time.

Ubedia now employs six people in production, shipping and marketing. The Aix-en-Provence company is investing in automated packing equipment and plans to recruit as it enters other European markets.

“Temu gave us instant visibility. Good reviews brought more exposure, which led to more sales.”

Access to International Customers

The survey found that 34% of sellers operating in EU markets had expanded into new international markets after joining Temu. Italian specialty food business SD Calabria, for example, reached customers beyond its earlier base of predominantly Italian expatriates.

“Joining Temu changed everything. Now I see Spanish customer names, German surnames, buyers from the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Ireland, Denmark, and the Czech Republic. Before, I only saw Italian names. Now it's a completely different picture.”

Antonino Quaranta, owner at SD Calabria

Polish electronics distributor Euroelectronics expanded into 18 European markets within weeks of joining the platform. Temu said the company made its catalog available in several countries using its existing warehouse operation, rather than building a separate market launch plan for each one.

Support for Online Sellers

Among respondents, 38% cited Temu’s easy-to-use seller platform as a reason for choosing the marketplace, while 35% pointed to its cost structure. More than 65% valued the personal or dedicated support available to sellers.

German manufacturer AMF Creation, which has been trading for 15 years, used Temu’s onboarding process, real-time insights and seller support as it adjusted its e-commerce strategy and responded to customer demand.

“Instead of guessing what customers want, we now have data to guide our decisions. If something wasn't working, we could pivot immediately. That kind of flexibility was exactly what we needed.”

Marcus Fochler, founder at AMF Creation

A New Sales Channel for Sellers

Temu operates in more than 90 markets, including all EU Member States, and offers products in more than 700 categories. Among the survey respondents, 43% had been trading for more than a decade before joining the platform.

“The survey findings underscore the immense potential of Europe's small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs to grow if there were simpler, more affordable ways to reach new customers. We look forward to continuing our work in helping sellers grow at home and abroad and create jobs within their communities.”
