AgriPass Raises $7.5M for Robotic Weed Control
AgriPass raises $7.5M to expand its RHIC AI robotic weed-control platform for vegetable growers in the U.S. and Europe.

AgriPass has raised $7.5 million in seed funding to expand RHIC, its robotic weed-control platform, across the United States and Europe. The Tel Aviv company’s system uses computer vision and real-time contextual AI to identify weeds and guide mechanical action at root level. AgriPass is initially targeting high-value vegetable crops, where labor shortages, weed pressure, and soil health can affect farm productivity. The company says RHIC can replace up to 20 manual workers in a day, allowing teams to focus on more strategic work.
Funding Supports Commercial Expansion
The round was led by Harbor Venture Consulting, with support from existing investor E44 Climate Ventures and strategic ecosystem partners. AgriPass plans to use the funding for manufacturing readiness, commercial field operations, and further development of its AI-driven cultivation platform for additional crops and uses.
Established in 2023, AgriPass has commercial deployments in the European Union and the United States. The company also has contracted and advanced-stage engagements contributing to projected 2026 revenue.
Selective Mechanical Cultivation
RHIC, short for Robot of Human Inspired Cultivation, combines contextual AI with mechanical actuation. As it works, the platform considers weed presence, crop proximity, and soil conditions, then adjusts its depth and engagement to carry out selective cultivation while minimizing soil disruption and avoiding chemical weed control.
The platform is designed for small and mid-sized farms shifting toward sustainable and regenerative agriculture, with a commercial-scale approach to non-chemical weed control. It is aimed first at vegetable growers looking for an alternative to manual labor and herbicides.
“Labor volatility, regulatory pressure, and soil degradation are redefining farm operations. Food security now depends on building more resilient production systems and agriculture is undergoing a structural transformation to meet these challenges. We built RHIC to replicate human agronomic judgment in real time, guiding soil-safe, selective mechanical action at commercial scale. This funding enables us to expand across the U.S. and Europe and scale our durable cultivation platform designed for long-term performance.”
Field Partners And Demonstrations
AgriPass works with ag-robotics and food-system partners including FYELD Agriculture OEM, EIT Food, and the NVIDIA Inception Program. The company was also named a winner of the 2025 Climate Solutions Prize, while Yanay was recognized as a leading Woman in AgFood 2025.
AgriPass plans to share live updates and demonstrations at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco from March 16 to 18, 2026. For growers, the company’s pitch is a practical one: use AI-guided machinery to make targeted cultivation decisions in the field while reducing reliance on manual crews and chemical herbicides.
