Collective has launched Compass, an AI platform for financial advisors working with clients who hold pre-IPO equity. The platform brings private-company research, client planning and anonymous transaction support into one workflow. Compass was selected from hundreds of applicants for the AI Demo Drop at the Future Proof Festival and is being demonstrated on the event’s main stage. It is free to advisors for a limited time, with no credit card required, and the first 100 registrants can retain the promotional offer for life, subject to terms and conditions.

Private Market Research and Planning

Compass is designed for advisors whose clients hold private-company shares, options or other concentrated equity positions. Collective says the platform provides company-level information on thousands of private companies, including enterprise value, per-share pricing, financing history, capital structure, issuer secondaries and transfer policies.

The service retains client context and goals across sessions, then produces analysis covering exit scenarios, payouts, option exercise and forfeiture, concentration risk and tax modeling. It also shows assumptions and reasoning in plain language for advisors to share with clients or compliance officers.

“Advisors are being asked to counsel clients whose single biggest holding is an asset they can't value or do anything with. It's not a knowledge gap. It's an infrastructure gap. Compass closes it.”

Execution Support for Advisors

Compass connects its planning tools with Collective’s transaction team, which can source terms and bids from counterparties while keeping the advisor’s and client’s identities confidential until an advisor selects a counterparty. Available options include stock sales, forwards, recourse and non-recourse loans, option exercise financing, exchange funds, donor-advised funds, charitable remainder trusts and 10b5-1 plans.

At the Future Proof Festival, Collective is demonstrating Compass with a hypothetical California-based CTO who needs $2 million in cash within 60 days, while diversifying a concentrated position and minimizing taxes. In one chat session, Compass values the client’s options and creates a plan combining a stock loan and an exchange fund contribution.

“Generating informed, effective wealth strategies like this used to take advisors weeks, many phone calls and emails, and referrals to private market specialists. We built Compass so an advisor can do it inside one session, without handing off the client relationship.”

Availability and Advisor Use

Compass is available to financial advisors now. Future Proof attendees can register at Collective’s kiosk, Booth 726, Zone 3, through September 17.

Collective states that Compass provides information and analysis for financial professionals rather than investment, tax or legal advice. Advisors remain responsible for suitability determinations and advice provided to clients. Private-company securities are illiquid and speculative, transfer restrictions can prevent transactions, and indicative terms are not commitments.
