GoPro Adds MISSION 1 PRO Creator Kits

GoPro has expanded its MISSION 1 Series with the MISSION 1 PRO Creator Edition and Ultimate Creator Edition, alongside a new Media Mod, Volta 2 battery grip and Universal Adhesive Mount 2-Pack. The Creator Edition is priced at $1,099.99 MSRP, or $949.99 for existing eligible GoPro subscribers, while the Ultimate Creator Edition costs $1,199.99 MSRP, or $1,049.99 for eligible subscribers. Both bundles are available now at GoPro.com and are scheduled to reach GoPro retailers globally in August. GoPro has also released a firmware update for MISSION 1 and MISSION 1 PRO cameras that supports the new accessory range.

Creator Kits for Video Production

The MISSION 1 PRO Creator Edition is built around the MISSION 1 PRO camera, which has a 50MP 1-inch sensor and GP3 processor. The bundle includes the MISSION 1 Series Media Mod, Volta 2 Battery Grip and Wireless Mic Complete Kit for creators seeking a ready-to-run camera, audio and power setup.

The MISSION 1 PRO Ultimate Creator Edition adds GoPro’s Fluid Pro AI gimbal, Wireless Mic Complete Kit, Light Mod 2 and the Media Mod. The Fluid Pro AI gimbal provides stabilization and AI-driven subject tracking.

Accessories and Prices

The Media Mod for MISSION 1 Series costs $149.99. It has a built-in multi-pattern microphone with eight pickup pattern options, three 3.5mm ports for an external microphone, timecode sync and headset monitoring, plus a micro-HDMI port supporting up to 4K60 video output. Its mounting system allows the camera to be inserted or removed quickly.

Volta 2 costs $139.99 and works as a battery grip, tripod and remote. Its 5800mAh battery is rated for up to nine hours of 4K30 recording under GoPro’s stated test conditions. The Universal Adhesive Mount 2-Pack, priced at $14.99, is designed for curved and flat surfaces, including helmets, drones and snowboards.

Firmware Update Adds Compatibility

The firmware update gives MISSION 1 and MISSION 1 PRO cameras full compatibility with the MISSION 1 Series accessory ecosystem, including the new Media Mod and Volta 2. It also introduces improved contrast and tone tuning in Dive mode, along with color accuracy and cinematic motion blur tuning improvements.

Owners can download the update through the GoPro app or the company’s MISSION update page.

MISSION 1, MISSION 1 PRO, MISSION 1 PRO Grip Edition and the new creator bundles are available now. GoPro plans to put the interchangeable-lens-compatible MISSION 1 PRO ILS on sale later this quarter.
