Meara Belkin Tech Holdings, Inc. has launched HALO Cyber, a single portal that combines cybersecurity, IT services and cyber insurance for businesses. The platform is designed for companies that need to assess cyber risk, address security gaps and seek insurance coverage through one service. Co-founders Bill Meara and Matthew Belkin built the platform around a SECURE → VERIFY → INSURE℠ model. Businesses from small and mid-sized firms to Fortune 500 enterprises can complete a questionnaire for a complimentary cyber-risk analysis and cyber insurance quote.

One Portal For Cyber Readiness

HALO Cyber is aimed at businesses that face separate processes for cybersecurity, IT readiness and cyber insurance. It also gives brokers a platform to help clients access cybersecurity services that may be needed to meet underwriting standards.

The International Association of Insurance Supervisors estimates annual global economic losses from cyber incidents at more than $10 trillion, while 99% of global cyber losses are uninsured.

“Sixty percent of all businesses have experienced a cyber breach during their life cycle. Of those businesses, 18% of them filed for bankruptcy”

Bill Meara, CEO and Chairman at Meara Belkin Tech Holdings, Inc.

“what Halo has created is a singular solution for publicly and privately held businesses to ensure that they maintain the proper formula via security, IT services, and cyber insurance.”

Assessments With Next Steps

Most cybersecurity assessments identify vulnerabilities and diagnose problems, but HALO Cyber says it helps businesses determine what to do next. Its model is intended to identify gaps, manage fixes, verify protections and connect companies with cyber insurance options.

“we created HALO's SECURE → VERIFY → INSURE℠ model to identify gaps, manage fixes, verify protections and connect businesses to obtain the proper cyber insurance protection.”

Who HALO Cyber Serves

The service is for publicly and privately held businesses seeking a combined approach to security, IT services and insurance. It may also be relevant to insurance brokers supporting clients through cyber insurance underwriting requirements.

Companies can start through the HALO Cyber website, where the questionnaire provides a complimentary cyber-risk analysis and cyber insurance quote.
