Flagright Raises $12.5M Series A for Compliance AI
Flagright raises $12.5M Series A to expand its explainable AI compliance platform for banks, fintechs, and other regulated institutions.

Flagright has raised a $12.5 million Series A to expand its AI operating system for financial crime compliance. Infinity Ventures led the round, joined by Sella Direct Ventures, with continued backing from Frontline and Y Combinator. The company plans to broaden explainable AI use cases across compliance operations and increase its US market presence. Flagright serves more than 100 fintechs and banks in more than 30 countries, offering tools for transaction monitoring, screening, investigations, and governance.
One Platform for Compliance Work
Flagright combines transaction monitoring, watchlist screening, risk scoring, case management, AI forensics, and governance workflows in one platform. Its software is designed for banks, payments companies, lenders, brokerages, credit unions, fintechs, and other regulated financial institutions that want to replace legacy systems or disconnected point tools.
The platform includes no-code scenario building, sub-second APIs, dynamic risk profiling, and simulation tools. Flagright says its clients can deploy the system in as little as two weeks, while auditable AI agents support investigations within governed workflows that retain human oversight.
“The financial crime compliance stack is being rebuilt, and Flagright is the company to define the operating system layer for this category. Regulated financial institutions need a system that gives them speed, control, explainability, and auditability in one place. This round helps us accelerate our position as the enterprise standard for financial crime compliance by expanding explainable AI use cases across compliance operations and increasing our US market presence, while we continue serving sophisticated clients with the reliability and depth they expect from a mission critical software.”
Funding Supports US Expansion
The new financing will support AI features for investigations, alert intelligence, rule optimization, decision support, and audit-ready workflows. Flagright also plans to build its enterprise go-to-market presence among banks, fintechs, credit unions, and regulated financial institutions.
“AI in compliance only matters if it is explainable, governable, and useful in real operations. The market does not need another black box tool. It needs an operating system that brings monitoring, screening, investigations, governance, and explainable AI together in one place. We are building the system of choice for sophisticated institutions that need AI they can trust, audit, and operationalize at scale.”
Enterprise Compliance Focus
Flagright says organizations that replace fragmented tools with its platform report up to 93% fewer false positives and 80% lower compliance costs. The company’s approach centers on risk-based controls that teams can design and refine without code, alongside audit-ready records intended to make decisions transparent and defensible across jurisdictions.
“At Infinity Ventures, we back founders building best-in-class modern financial infrastructure. Flagright stood out because sophisticated financial institutions are increasingly choosing the platform for its combination of enterprise readiness, explainable AI, operational flexibility, and product maturity. We believe Flagright is defining the AI operating system layer for financial crime compliance, and we expect the company to become the market leader in this category over the next five years.”
A Push for Unified Operations
For compliance teams facing higher volumes and more demanding operational requirements, Flagright is positioning its platform as a single system for monitoring, screening, investigations, and governance. The Series A gives the company fresh backing to extend that offering in the US while building out AI tools that keep explainability, auditability, and human oversight central.
