Harmoni has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners and unveiled HAL, an AI product designed for manufacturing teams at the point of production. Founded in 2023 by David Caputo and Adam Ellis, Harmoni provides Factory Orchestration software that connects operators, machines, engineering systems, and enterprise software. The funding will go to product development, go-to-market expansion, and continued work on HAL. Harmoni says its automations add more than 200 hours of productive time per operator each year by eliminating administrative and other non-productive tasks.

Factory Work in One System

Harmoni is built for manufacturers handling variable work, frequent changeovers, and coordination across people, equipment, and software. At each workcenter, its platform gives operators a command center with the information and tools for each task.

The system combines automation, process control, and observability. RFID technology and machine-level workflows can automate labor tracking, ERP transactions, document retrieval, quality reporting, and support requests. Its process control tools provide work instructions, machine programs, and checksheets, while its observability layer brings together ERP, machine, operator, and RFID data for a real-time view of performance and root-cause issues.

HAL Uses Production Context

HAL uses the live operational context captured by Harmoni, including information from systems, machines, engineering documents, production records, and institutional knowledge. Because the platform identifies the active job, part, machine, process, and engineering requirements, that context reaches HAL automatically.

Delivered at the point of production, the AI is designed to help teams understand requirements, diagnose issues, identify risks, and decide what to do next. Harmoni says the platform can deploy in weeks and is designed to reduce manual work, strengthen adherence to approved engineering processes, and provide real-time visibility into factory performance.

“Harmoni was founded on the belief that manufacturers don't need another disconnected application - they need a system that helps work happen correctly, efficiently, and in real time. By bringing automation, process control, and observability together at the workcenter, we help manufacturers eliminate wasted time, prevent errors, and gain control over what is happening across the factory floor. This investment will allow us to accelerate the platform's development, expand our team, and bring Factory Orchestration to more manufacturers.”

Funding Supports Product Development

Bessemer Venture Partners led Harmoni’s Series A round. The investment is meant for product development, go-to-market expansion, and continued development of HAL.

“Harmoni is building a new operational layer for manufacturing that connects people, machines, and systems across the factory floor. Customers are seeing meaningful value from the company's Factory Orchestration platform today, while the operational context Harmoni creates provides a powerful foundation for delivering AI directly into production workflows. We are excited to partner with David, Adam, and the Harmoni team as they build an important new category in manufacturing technology.”

Built for Shop Floor Teams

Harmoni’s offering is for manufacturers seeking to reduce non-productive work, give operators the correct documentation for each task, and view factory performance in real time. Its platform connects people, machines, systems, and processes that drive production through one system for shop-floor execution.
