WhisPrompt Sets Kickstarter Launch for September 29
WhisPrompt AI Workflow Controller launches on Kickstarter September 29 with voice and one-handed controls for AI tasks.

WhisPrompt will launch its AI Workflow Controller on Kickstarter on September 29. The handheld device combines voice input with one-handed controls for people working across AI agents and computer tasks. It is designed to route requests to AI tools, switch between tasks, and alert users when input or approval is needed. WhisPrompt supports Mac and Windows, includes local voice input, and does not require a monthly WhisPrompt subscription, though third-party AI services may charge separately.
Voice And One Handed Controls
WhisPrompt is built for users who spend time typing instructions, finding the right AI agent, moving between sessions, and checking task status. Its system is designed to let users speak requests, identify where a task belongs, and switch between agents by voice.
The device also includes AI Task Reminders, which can surface when a task is completed, when more input is needed, or when an approval is waiting.
“As we started using more AI agents in our own work, we realized the bottleneck was no longer what AI could do. It was how much effort it still took to direct and manage all of it. We wanted one device that could let you talk to AI naturally, keep multiple agents moving, and bring you back in when your attention is needed.”
Hardware And Workflow Features
WhisPrompt is designed around up to 3× faster input and supports a workflow described as Say, Route, Execute, Refine, Review, Approve, and Result. The company positions voice input for prompting, refining, switching, reviewing, and approving, rather than dictation alone.
Its CNC-machined aluminum body includes dual microphones, a touchpad, control wheel, programmable buttons, and a compact display. Users can navigate, switch, scroll, and confirm with their thumb, while controls in the WhisPrompt Client can be mapped to shortcuts, apps, AI agents, and approvals.
Built For Shared Workspaces
The controller uses proprietary whisper-level ASR for low-volume, close-range speech in shared spaces. Local Voice Input is built into the device, with no recurring subscription fee from WhisPrompt.
WhisPrompt is aimed at people managing multiple AI tools who want a compact way to direct tasks and return to them when a decision is required. The AI Workflow Controller is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on September 29.
