Affix Labs Group B.V. has raised €1 million to expand its Repeltec surface insect repellent across Europe. The funding round was led by VP Capital and Oost NL, and will support distribution in Germany, Austria, France, and Norway, followed by the UK and Poland. Repeltec uses a water-based, controlled-release formulation designed to work for up to 12 weeks. The Dutch green chemtech startup is also opening a white-label B2B offer for manufacturers and operators that want to incorporate its technology into their own products.

Water Based Repellent Technology

Affix Labs’ patented formulation method is designed to dissolve oily, water-insoluble active ingredients into water-based systems. The company’s controlled-release layer is intended to extend the product’s effectiveness to 12 weeks.

Its flagship Repeltec product is dermatologically tested and contains no neurotoxic compounds. Affix Labs positions the technology as an alternative to insect repellents using neurotoxic active ingredients, which the company says are responsible for growing insect resistance.

European Distribution Plans

The company will use the new capital to expand its European distribution network. Repeltec already has active substance authorizations in Germany, France, Austria, and Norway.

Affix Labs is expanding in those four markets first, with the UK and Poland planned as later markets. The rollout comes as European rules on chemical pesticides tighten, including Germany’s 2025 self-service ban on a broad category of neurotoxic insecticides from open retail shelves.

White Label B2B Offer

Alongside its consumer products, Affix Labs is launching a white-label model called “Powered by Affix Labs.” The offer is for FMCG companies, hospitality operators, and pest control manufacturers that want to integrate the company’s technology into their own product ranges.

For companies seeking a water-based insect-repellent formulation without neurotoxic compounds, the white-label program offers a route to use the technology under their own brands.

Expansion Across Product Lines

The €1 million round supports Affix Labs’ planned European distribution expansion and its launch of the Powered by Affix Labs model. The company is positioning its patented solubility technology and controlled-release systems for both consumer product lines and business customers.
