Relay Launches Term Loans for Small Businesses
Relay Capital offers Relay customers term loans from $1,000 to $250,000, with online offers and funding after approval.

Relay has launched Relay Capital, a new lending product line that begins with term loans of $1,000 to $250,000 for its small business customers. Businesses can prequalify using their existing Relay account activity, review loan offers online in minutes, and, if approved, receive funds in as little as one to two business days. The launch brings financing into the same platform customers use for banking, spending, and money management. Funding is provided by Fundbox or its bank partner, Lead Bank, and remains subject to credit approval and applicable terms.
Term Loans Inside Relay
Relay’s term loans are its first offering under Relay Capital. The product is aimed at small business owners seeking funds for expenses such as entering new markets, launching products, or hiring.
Relay cited its survey of 1,000 US-based small business owners, in which 94% said they planned to grow in the coming year. New markets were named by 38% of respondents as a spending area, followed by product launches at 36% and hiring at 33%.
The company also pointed to a January 2026 Federal Reserve survey that found nationwide demand for business loans had risen, partly due to lower interest rates and higher spending.
Funding for an Acquisition
Real estate investment company LS Funding Group used a Relay Capital term loan while working on a new acquisition and seeking to keep credit usage down.
“We are in the middle of a new acquisition and need to keep credit usage down. The quick application and funding were excellent. Exactly what we needed, when we needed it.”
Cash Flow and Growth
Relay positions the product as a way for customers to access financing from within the account they already use to manage day-to-day finances. The company says applications are reviewed in minutes, though actual decision and funding times can vary.
“Most business owners have the vision for growth. The challenge is the upfront cost associated with it. Easy access to capital is the stepping stone they need to open their next location, launch a new product, or hire a key team member. Relay Capital is how we fuel those milestone growth moments for our customers. When small businesses can access the capital they need to grow, it's a win for our main streets and their communities.”
